With over 10 years of experience in the events industry, I understand first-hand the pressure marketing teams face to launch, promote, and grow successful events. I’ve worked across B2B, B2C events, and industry awards, delivering results-driven campaigns across a wide range of sectors.
I began my events marketing career at Clarion Events as a Marketing Executive on The Baby Show portfolio. After 18 months, I was promoted to Marketing Manager for the Classic Car portfolio, which included the Classic Motor Show — an event attracting over 80,000 visitors.
In 2019, I joined Elite Exhibitions as Marketing Manager. At the time, the company was a small but ambitious team of around 10 people. During my time there, I led the launch of several major events including Cruise Ship Interiors Design Expo Europe, Cruise Ship Interiors Awards, Hotel & Resort Design South, and Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit. I also helped the business navigate the challenges of COVID-19, managing a pivot to online events and launching CSI+, a digital community platform that became a first for the cruise interiors industry.
Thanks to this wide-ranging experience, I’ve developed deep expertise in launching and growing events from the ground up. I know how to build and deliver targeted, creative marketing campaigns that engage audiences and deliver measurable results.

Launching Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit
To give a clearer picture of my experience, here’s a breakdown of my role in launching Cruise Xperience Innovation Summit — a new event concept developed during my time at Elite Exhibitions.
The idea was sparked by insights from our cruise industry Advisory Board, who highlighted a growing demand for innovative onboard technology. Cruise lines were continually pushing boundaries to enhance the passenger experience, yet there was no dedicated event to showcase the latest tech making it hard for them to discover standout solutions.
I began by conducting in-depth competitor research to confirm there was a gap in the market. Confident in the opportunity, I then scoped out the potential audience and exhibitor base to assess viability. This research informed our decision to launch the event as a co-located feature within our existing cruise shows, ensuring maximum visibility and relevance for attendees.
Once we had internal buy-in, I led the end-to-end marketing and launch process, including:
Building strategic partnerships with key industry players
Identifying high-potential exhibitors and leads for the sales team
Creating the event’s website structure and content
Working with our designer to develop the brand identity and logo
Writing all launch materials — including the website, sales prospectus, and sponsorship brochure
Developing a full multi-channel marketing plan with a clear timeline and objectives
This project highlights my ability to take an event from concept to launch — blending research, creativity, and strategy to bring a new idea to life successfully.
